The other day I was working away up at the cottage, yes, yes the battle of poison ivy, honeysuckle, multi-floral brush against our hero scratched-up-bloody-joe. I noticed over my shoulder something new on the bluff. Well, after a few life-potions (IPA beer) I was able to climb the bluff and discover a Frank Lloyd Wright statue. I later discovered this is a replicate of the sprites that once occupied Midway Gardens in Chicago.
Although FLW named this statue Maid in the Mud, I rather like Sprite of the Bluff. What is very cool is she is perched on the point overlooking everything, and on the small cantilever bluff ledge wildflowers will start to appear. Watching wildflowers is definitely magical to watch as you never know what will appear. I further hope the magic will overflow off the point and who knows may be bring us luck or good fortune.
